The government has failed to deliver the political ,economic and social solutions to this country .
The political shambles of electoral reforms and the postponement of the district and regional elections demonstrate that the current ruling power have lost the authority to govern except for the few amidst a litany of political squabbles ,financial scandals and nepotism which leave many of our young people's life aspirations
in jeopardy .
Our public debt isto the tune of 300 billions and increasing day by day and there is no prospect of economic recovery in near future with an economic growth of 3.4and 3.7 %? and the ordinary peoples purchasing power is at the lowest due to inflationary pressures and the rise in fuels and food prices
The economy is ticking led by a service led growth in the absence of a coherent industrial strategy to boost exports to the wider world including the southern African continent
our environment demands a change in the economy and utilize our energy resources giving high priority to green energy ,solar. wind and tidal wave research to reduce carbon emissions and create a safe ,clean and secure environment and also prevent further deterioration in the climate change leading to catastrofic changes in weather conditions ,fast and severe floodings to magnitude proportions leaving people in dire straits ,people's possessions destroyed and the houses full of water and mud which affect people daily lives and cause miseries for years living in dilapidated conditions as the government or ministers have failed to take appropriate actions in investing in the infrastruture ,roads flooding due to shortfall and years of disinvestment and this will progressively get worse if we fail to come up with workable strategies in managing our environment through our commitment in meeting our environmental concerns nationally and internationally .
Thirdly one of the import pillars of democracy is law and order ,safety and security to our people .
The growing concerns of the population of societal decline due ineffective measures in controlling and dealing with massive increase in accidents and premature deaths on the roads leaving many families in despair ,destitute and emotional traumas .
Another acute problem in societybtoday is an increase in violence against women leading to murders ,crimes and longterm suffering .often associated with proliferation of drugs and society becoming toxic

As of todays date ,you can see the shambles of a so called United government .
The recent squabbles and positioning of ministers whose roles in government is hardly a reflection of good governance ,mastering their portfolios ,their poor outcomes be in health ,energy policy ,environment which of late causing hardship and desperation amongst the people of the northern district following fast floods of magnitude proportions ,,their houses immersed in water ,muds ,and all their possessions destroyed at a stroke and the people are powerless as no government agencies or constituency MPsor ministers to be seen as the story enfolds of deep desperation .
There are many issues which have not been addressed given we are spending billions on the Metro which will serve only few people in the catchment area of Portlouis,Rosehill,and Beaubassin .
is this money well spent to serve the national interests or just a cosmetic exercise to demonstrate that the government has a workable strategy on roads ,rails and air when in reality we have the greatest rise in roads accidents ,roads deaths and numerous families lives destroyed .
The latest fiasco is the electoral reforms which has died a natural death as we speak .
The government capitulates andpostpones the district and regional elections as they know full well victory is slipping away from their grasps on power and not to mention the incompetencies of ministers who have failed to deliver except hot air and soundbites .including the recent political and financial scandals amidst the growing discontent amomong young people looking for employment when Nepotism has taken hold in society at large given the government is the main culprit by its actions on promoting their associates and families in jobs ,political nomininees ,followed by a raft of unfair measures which render the equality commission meaningless .
What we need is an open and a transparent government with societal changes and systems which work for the Many and not the Few that promotes social and economic inclusion in real terms with reforms in taxation ,wages and salaries ,the public sector which is neither efficient nor deliver value for money in a modern society
With a growing public debt ,public services will not deliverable unless we have coherent strategies in dealing with chronic under investment and under funding ,poor, governance associated with lack of strong leadership ,openness and transparency ,poor accountability and responsibility leading to poor outcomes .
We have a mushrooming of debt to the tune of 23billions on welfare yet the government has recently approved the pensions of 3.7 billions for electoral reasons and expediency
I would like to say that another 5 years of MSM government will be disastrous for our economy and the delivery of public services and so the the ball in your court that is the electorates
